Help on ESS Linmodem and 9.1

I just upgraded to Mandrake 9.1 and it works great so far but just as under 8.1 I can't get the Ess modem installed. I have a driver that might work but don't know how to install it. The chipset is ES2838S TeleDrive. The driver file is on floppy. I have it still zipped as well as unzipped. the unzipped one is a driver file and a text file with commands.
Can someone help me with this project. Thanks

i typed "ES2838S; linux" in google and found that there isn't a driver yet for this modem for linux... are you holding a driver for win?

I have a driver that is supposed to work but have no idea how to use it. I will email to you if wanted. kr4yd@strato.net Dave
