Graphics Card instalation on LE2005

I'm trying to set up my Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME graphics card in my laptop. By default Mandrake sets up my screen resolution to 1024X768 and everytime I dry to set it to 1200X800 as it should be it doesn't work (the screen gets large and I have to scroll with the mouse to see all the contents). Any suggestions on how to do this? Do I need to install a driver? By default it is picking the Intel>86x driver right now. thanks

I don't know if.......

you clicked the link that abattoir put in his post but I am having the same problem only I'm supposed to get 1024x768 and the only way I can get it is to have the screen larger than the display. (The scrolling around the desktop that you are experiencing.)

I've tried several things there and so far nothing's worked. I've tried to put down the steps I've taken so you may want to check them out. Maybe you'll see something I haven't. I'll bookmark this and let you know if I find a "cure".

By the way, I did download an upgraded(?) Linux driver for our chipset at the intel website. This has so far had no effect.

Ya have now been following that thread. I have tried the drivers intel provides as well with no luck. I'm still having the same problem.
