I recently installed gnome-iconedit-1.2.0-13. It comes up fine, but when you request it be terminated (closed) it not only will not close, it ties up the desktop requiring a kill -9 on the running program.
Much to my surprise, after removing this version and installing 1.2.0-12 directly from the install disc set for 10, I encountered exactly the same problem. Everything else is working fine
and specifically within the GNOME2 environment. Nor is conflict with the equivalent in kde an issue because we have not installed anything from or based on kde.
Finally, I attempted to contact the maintainer/author via the URL in the help window, who was at the University of Aberdeen,
www.abdn.ac.uk/~u07ih/gnome-iconedit - but that url is no longer active.
Anyone know the answer to this problem?
Its just what my graphics associate has been loooking for to get on with his projects.
