i have installed glib-2.6.2 on /usr/local/glib but when i trie to install gtk:


checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.8.0... Requested 'glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0' but version of GLib is 2.2.3

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.8.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

im newb and i dont know were is PKG_CONFIG_PATH and how i cant adjust him, or where is glib default diretory.

Yeah gtk won't find it coz its looking for it in /usr which is where Mandrake puts it by default, so you can reconfigure glib using the /usr prefix. There are other solutiions so search this site and you are bound to get them.
