Fixing the clock in task bar

No matter what I choose - the clock always displays as digital.
How do I make the change permanent?

Answered this myself - it's a bug and workaround is given in:

What system are your running. What WM? How does the taskbar look like.

mandriva 2008 - kde .... clock is digital display in task bar.

I discovered a fix/workaround (as it is a bug) - uninstall clock from bar, then reinstall. This allows changes to persist after logout/login.
