Dual-monitor setup

Hello,

I am trying to setup a dual-monitor with Mandriva2007. I've edited xorg.conf in /etc/X11 but it didn't work. What I tried to do was create a second Identity variable for Device, Screen, and Monitor and I think there's also has to be BusID provided. I ran lspci and this is my output:

05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM) (rev a1)

So I put:
Code:
BusID: "PCI:05:00.0"
But then I couldn't get into X and I guess that wasn't right.

Would somebody who knows more than me on how to properly configure dual-monitors, please help me with configuring xorg.conf

Will very much appreciate your help.

Thank you,
victor.

Not too sure about 2006.0 or 2007 but in the old days (10 and 10.1) the monitor info was backwards in xorg.conf.

so I had to set the tv as primary and the monitor as secondary screen, refresh rates and all.

If you don't push the limits for refresh you may be able to try it first without do any damage, but you may want to read the manual.

But yes, I think you have the address right.
