Are there any Linux software programs that will allow you to convert a WAV music file to an MP3 file?

Please let me know....

You can download "rpm" version of Blandeec (sp?) and install it, then you have to change the name of the code where it says change to ..............mp3, I forget what the code is, but that would allow you to convert an entire personally owned CD to mp3's. Blandeec are just the drivers that allow you to do this, so you would still be using "lame".

thanks acid_kewpie...

With a little work, that code works perfectly.

Had 206 tiny soundclips I wanted to add to my MP3 player and REALLY didn't wanna do it by hand. heh

ok, acid_kewpie...

Another one for ya. Can you merge either 2 .wav files or 2 .mp3 files easily? Without using something like Audacity?

They are BIG 24 min files, so like 250meg wav files.
