Continous beeping sound on startup Mandrake 10..

Arh......... I've finally installed Mandrake 10 community, but after the installation everytime i reboot.. i get this continous beeping sound it i believe it coming from the sound card.. i currently have a SoundMAX integrated digital audio.. and it hangs on on startup when it loads and mounts everything... If anyone out there who knows solution to this problem.. please..inform me..heaps of thanks..

Had the same problem, all I did was reconfigured the sound card and used a different driver. I am using a sound blaster card on that machine. I hope this will help you out.

I had the exact same problem, my card is a soundblaster live. I solved it by opening kmix and clicking on the input tab, then muting the capture segment (the last slider on the right) it worked perfect after that. Capture was not something that I use, so I don't miss it, but then you may have need for it.
