oh and by the way yes i am a complete noobie and darn proud of it! lol
finally got the mandriva one to boot for me but moniter keeps having issues when adjusting it above 800/600 resolution have samsung syncmaster 920n not listed in moniter page anyone know of any fixes? or am i stuck at the 800/600 setting
How were you trying to "adjust it" above 800x600? BTW, you are not stuck. Were you using the tools in MCC? What driver do you have loaded for the the ATI graphics card?
yes i tried changing the resolution through the mcc but still no good i can go to higher resolution but the the screen becomes distorted (split almost) as for the ati driver the system doesn't even seem to want to recognize the card at all i downloaded and installed the most recent driver from the ati web site but that didn't help either

It would be better if you were to post what you did to make it work,
so anybody with the same problem will hopefully google on your thread
directly. Am glad it works
