Adding a user

I have a problem with Postfix on 10.1 and am trying to find out the problem.

I can receive mail for only a single user even though additional users have been added these
users do not appear to be able to receive the mail as it disappears I know not where.

Under webmin the users exist and in the var/ mail the boxes appear to exist, but only the original user loaded at installation can receive.

Is there a command line to add a user as I think there is a bug in the mcr additon of users. It allows for the deletion of a mailbox for a user but has no radiokey to select whether a users mailbox should be added even though it does add the mailfile to var /mail?

I have postfix working on other machines with 10.0 but cannot make any new users work.
Starting and stopping the Postfix server under webmin doesn't help.

Is this a known bug or am I chasing straws?

UPDATE:

I have found the command adduser in the terminal does work and the user can receive mail as normal.

The problem seems to be in deleting the user in the mcr. Deleting and putting the the user back either using a terminal window or mcr stops the mail working.

I have tried deleting the mail box in var/mail and users directory and adding the user again with a terminal and adduser.

Is there another place I can try deleting to ensure complete erasure of the user/

UPDATE 2

I have now traced the problem of where the mail is going. The users i am having trouble with deleted then reinstalled the mail goes into the postfix mail box and not the users mailbox.

How can I change the users redirection to the postfix mailbox to go into the users mailbox?

It appears deleting the user does not reset the direction and a file must exist to direct the old users name even reinstated name to the postfix mailbox?

Thanks very helpful. I think I have found a bug in the system and how it happened.

I had changed under webminunder postfix general settins, the location of the mail queue directory from
/var/spool/postfix to /var/spool/mail when I did this I had not added the two users I am having problems with, their mail goes to
the postfix mail in the mail queue in /var/spool/mail it seems deleting the users and reinstalling the same user name doesn't
remove this original mistake I made.

I'm still at a loss how to correct this I have kmail receiving for the users in the postfix directory and have not yet found any association file that
can repair the damage and make the mail appear under the users names in the directory /var/spool/mail.

Anyway, at least Postfix does seem simpler to configure than Postfix was.
