adding a new user

I think this may be my last question for awhile: Is there a simple tutorial somewhere on how to add a new user in Mepis? It doesn't seem as automated as it was in other Distros.

Have you tried going to the Mepis OS Center or the Control Center? Are you talking about after you've installed Mepis or during the installation?

After. Adding the user doesn't seem to be the problem. It's just trying to add the user to the login window.

Woo hoo! Problem fixed. I'm not sure which of these steps worked, but they worked. I made the new user, numbered that user 1001, after my first account which is number 1000. I selected each of the groups the original account had, added, and done. It now shows up in the main log in screen. Thanks a lot for inspiring the solution.
