about mandrake 9.2rc2

Is mandrake 9.2rc2 the same as 9.2 final version? Hope not!
I had run mdk9.2rc2, but the support for traditional Chinese in KDE seems not better than 9.1, even worse than 9.0. Many traditional Chinese characters just appear as small rectangles on screen. Xine has gone in 9.2rc2, and applied totem movie player instead. This app isn't stable, and when I open an 'open file' dialog box, this box is just a blank form. Xcin(a Chinese input app) doesn't work. In addition, the version of official release of KDE should be 3.1.3, but I had a 3.1.4 one in 9.2rc2. Why?

regarding chinese support. Have you checked the /etc/sysconfig/i18n and, if you have one, ~/.i18n? Part of the problem could be that mandrake defaults to the wrong character coding set (that was a problem with japanese for me once I upgraded from 9.0 to 9.1). You can try if it helps to change the entries. You can find out what code sets there are by looking in /usr/share/locale. The easiest way is to change the settings in ~/.i18n (just copy the contents of /etc/sysconfig/i18n if you don't have a ~/.i18n). Logout and in again for the changes to take effect.
