9.2 partitions not added into a 10.1 file system

hello there,

Formerly my PIII desktop was equipped with a 40 GB HD; Now I have installed a 80 GB HD. Taking advantage of this, I did the following: I put the 40 GB disk as slave and the new 80 GB as master HD; afterwards I installed Mandrake 10.1 on the 80 GB. I said to the mandrake Wizzard to use the not used space to do it. Installation of the 10.1 has gone ok, but the partitons in the old HD were not added to the new file system. I have used the mandrake configuration wizzard, more specifically the part referring to partitions and mounting points, and there I have seen the old HD named hdb with its respective partitions. I don't want to lose the information contained in the old HD, so please help me to add it to the new file system the more secure way. Is it possible?? What can i do?

p.s. if i exceute the df command, it just shows obviuosly the new created during MDK 10.1 installation, that is, hda root / and hda home /home.

Eh, just add them in the MCC.

Unless you explicitly reformat the old partitions, nothing will be erased.

I'd create new mount points for them under /mnt though...

Translation: Make a new directory for each partition you will be mounting...
