It might be fun to have a forum where those of us who contribute (read: try to help) the most could “grumble” amongst ourselves about some of the threads we get sucked into.
My most recent involvements took me over the 5K threshold, but I was

at the end.

Is there a way now, or when the next version rolls out, to limit posting to such?
Thoughts?

Could. I was thinking of limiting by post count or reputation might minimize that possibility.

That said, the line between grumbling and flaming is probably slim.

I feel even with the present version of LQ that it's very much possible to do that, but I do not think it is a good idea. I feel it is a loaded topic.

There are threads in this forum, Suggestions & Feedback, covering topics from people getting frustrated at other users or threads.

There is an existing feature called "social grousp". It looks like there is an "Invite Only" type of group, so you might be able to implement this.
