Anyone have a tungsten E? Anyone interested in getting Linux on it?

Hi!

Tonight, I managed to get Linux running great on my Palm Tungesten E, and I made a DD image. I thought I would just post it, DD the image onto an SD card. Also, I made this image for a 128 mb SD card, other cards should work, but none under 128 mb. A word of caution:

The bootloader (garux) erases all data on your palm while running Linux, BACKUP YOUR PALM!!! Also this DD image doesn't support all of the palm's hardware such as the sound card. However the touchscreen and buttons work fine. The DD image will erase everything on your card, back that up too! This device uses opie, a window manager for small devices such as the palm.

Here it is:

The other night I was looking at the small stack of old PDAs on my desk and wondering what to do with them. Of course, having installed Linux on an old iPod, I got to wondering whether anybody had managed to replace the Palm OS with something a bit more Peguinistic. Among the relics is a Tungsten E that I am no longer using (not enough battery life, so it really needs to stay plugged into the wall).
Sounds like something I need to try!
