The "report" and "quote" buttons are too close together.

I've accidentally hit "quote" instead of "report" more than once. Each time, I realized my mistake only when I saw that I'd posted a reply, and it was too late to fix the mistake.

Please put more space between the "report" and "quote" buttons.

For me -- The screens are so different i've never had a problem. That red text on the 'report' screen catches my eye right away.

But having the 'naughty' button away from the 'innocent' button can't be a bad idea.

Thanks for the feedback. The pending code update (as always, http://www.chromeosquestions.org/forum.php for a preview) should sufficiently address this.

The site is looking good!

One of the things i've always liked about lq is the black border around posts, which makes it quick and immediate to identify individual posts. you've opted to go with a lighter line with the new design.

Code:
.postbitlegacy, .eventbit {
margin-bottom: 10px;
display: block;
width: 100%;
clear: both;
position: relative;
float: left;
color: #3e3e3e;
border: 1px solid #7A7A7A;
}
li {
is a quick css mod that made it more readable for myself. perhaps something to consider, perhaps not. i'd never suggest a site change to benefit only myself.

szboardstretcher, if the consensus is that the change you mention would be an improvement, it's likely something we'd implement. With the updated layout, I'm not sure it's necessary but I'm certainly open for discussion.
