I would just like to point out that there are currently 507 articles in the LQ Wiki Most Wanted Pages waiting for someone to write them.
If anyone would like to contribute something to the Wiki, this would be a great place to start. They are created when someone adds an internal link to a Wiki article which does not yet exist.
So, if you want to contribute but don't think you have an article, look through the ones on the link above, crack open your favourite search engine and get typing.
We're not looking for long essays on the first go (although that would be nice), as a collaborative effort, it can be expanded by someone else.
Just for those of you who don't know how the most wanted links are created, when someone links to something in the wiki, they just put [[ around ]] the page name. If the page doesn't exist, a place holder is created, and the name appears on the most wanted page. The more links to that non-page, the higher on the list.

There are 5065 total pages in the database.
This includes "talk" pages, pages about the LinuxQuestions.org Wiki, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as articles. Excluding those, there are 2500 pages that are probably legitimate articles.
WOOT!!
485 wanted pages aswell! going down!
So, as I'm "bumping" this thread, I'd like to encourage you all to continue adding pages... remember the drive to 3000 wiki articles... only 500 more to go!
umm... can we have numbers on the stubs page as well please?

Where is the press release? on the main page the last one is for the iso.
How hard would it be to add numbers to the stub page?
thanks. Oh yeah- perhaps it would be cool to have a little "stock ticker" for firefox or something- saying howmany wiki articles there are, how many zero replies, how many members etc ..
