lq and firewall?

I've had my firewall on for some time now and I never had any trouble with posting on here. But suddenly today it gives events from web1.linuxquestions.org on port 2450 (if it fails a few others near) and I couldn't do anything . What's this?

And now it's all working again without errors? Strange.

I'm not sure what your fw was detecting, but nothing from LQ will initiate a connection with your computer.

Thanks for the reply!

Well it's kind of strange. Sometimes my firewall suddenly picks up a few TCP thingies on some sites and other times I don't see anything at all. Maybe it's a special kind of ping package or so. Going to look into it a bit later.

any checks I run on it say that this portis being filtered and my firewall doesn't give warnings then. Strange stuff going on.
