Linux Questions IRC Chat?
Does Linux Questions have a chat room on IRC? If not I think that having 1 would be a great help in addition to the fourms.

This has been brought up many of times. We don't have any IRC chat at this time and most likely not in the future anytime soon.
Try searching on the site, some of the other threads will give the reasonings behind this decision not to have one at this time.

There are plenty of other IRC channels about Linux though, so just because LQ doesnt have one it doesnt mean that there aren't any good ones, my list of favourites:
On irc.freenode.net:-
#gentoo
#slackware
#linux
#debian
On irc.quakenet.org:-
#linuxoutlaws
#linux
