Email responses to other members.

I have sent an email to one of the responders to my thread and I don't see how to track my emailed response. In other words, I clicked on the member name in a thread and selected to send an email. Where is the email I sent? Not seeing my email, I can't be sure that it was ever sent.

The email isn't tracked by LQ in any way (that's not even technically possible). If the email is about something technical or in reference to an LQ thread, email isn't the appropriate means of communication, publicly through the forum is.

The email was received. As jeremy states it is better to discuss these issues in the forum. That way

1 - other folks can often provide helpful input which I fail to provide
2 - other folks can learn from our working the problem through

Please start a new thread in which you state:

- the issues you are having with the Ubuntu PC
- the objectives which you wish to achieve
- as much detailed information about the PC as possible as far as hardware specs

I will keep an eye out for your thread. We don't have to use Method 1 but if you can state the problem I will work with you as will other members of the forum and I am sure a resolution can be arrived at.
