While we usually do not appreciate if a member drives traffic to his blog in regular posts (as long as this is the only purpose of the post) the rules are not so strict for linking to the members blog in his signature.
In short: Yes, you can do that.

@TobiSGD
Thanks for the green signal.
No I never post out of the limit. I have been here since a year and my Posts Per Day is 0.26 which is quite acceptable.
and I will never mention my blog in the posts, I may mention other links but not my blog. Don't worry. The link in the signature and the link in the post will never be same.

Thanks again.

I choose not to do this anymore when I first join a forum, because I've been suspended almost right away (despite not sounding like a spam bot and writing relevant responses to people's posts - not crap like 'cool, thanks for sharing.')

So it sounds like you're being careful enough, and it shouldn't be a problem on this forum based on what I read here.

The line is making a post that appears to be just to promote your blog. Don't do that and you'll be fine.

You can be assured that something like this won't happen on LQ. For the moderators is communication with the members about violations of the rules is mandatory, you won't get suspended or even banned for such minor violations. Banning members is the last step that will be taken here, before that you will definitely have the chance to communicate with us, so that you will be made aware of anything that is against the forum rules.
There is also nothing wrong with linking to an article in your blog in a post (some of our members have blogs that maintain a high quality, so that I often find myself giving a link to one of their blogs for a solution to a problem), if it is relevant to the topic (and you maybe give a summary in the post). It becomes only a problem if it is clearly your intention to only post here to drive traffic to your blog.

As always in life, communication is a key-point, so bloodstreetboy did the right thing: If unsure just ask.
