*BSD Download links?

Hi,

I today went to LQ ISO and found that you don't have links to any BSD download mirrors.

It would be nice if you could add a "Download BSD" section to LQ apart from the "Download Linux" section. I don't think you need to host the ISOs yourself, but you could just provide links to mirrors from LQ.

Hope you could consider my request. I was looking for something new and I think I want to try FreeBSD as many people of this system swear by it!

As has been mentioned before, *BSD ISO's are perfectly fine in LQ ISO. The lack of ISO's at this point is just indicative that 1) no one has used the suggest feature to request them and 2) additionally, one of the people adding content to LQ ISO hasn't gotten to a *BSD on their own. A couple additional helpers were just added to LQ ISO, so look for a shot of additional mirrors/distros/versions in the near future.

By the way I noticed that the description of SUSE 9.2 Professional is this

I was quite surprised by this failure, because usually SuSe is associated with stability of German manufacturers. Definitely that union with Novell did not go unnoticed.
It was my first failure on Suse since version 7.

Surely this is a review, not a description? Must have got mixed up?

There are two ways a distro version can get added to LQ ISO. The first is that someone suggests it and it gets approved. The second, which I was referring to in the sentence you quoted, is that we have a couple of mods who proactively look for distros that are missing and add them.
