Left Suse 10.1 and Went to Debian

HEllo all,

I just wanted to brag a little about switching to Debian Etch after being an avid Suse user for so long.
I decided to try it. I didnt like Gnome to well so i had to get KDE. I did the net install and i have to say it was smoking fast. I would have not been able to go this far without this forum. i just googled a few things such as nvidia 3d and that was it. everything else is working great. I am able to watch DVDs and streaming video from apple.com/movietrailers. So i am happy.

My signature still says dual boot between Debian and Windows XP PRO but i can honestly say i havent been in windows for at least 30 days.

EDIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i stand corrected it was OpenSuse 10.2

LOL Rickh thats a good statement. It took me a few years before i felt comfortable to tackle Debian but they have come along way too. I thought the install went smoother and faster then my previous distros that i have tried. Granted i did the net install and my cable modem was an asset during this install.
