i needed to install java to host a web site in java script
and i was using red hat 9.
i hope this document may be use full to any person.
if in any case this doesnt work plzzz check google.
if any one feel worth adding any thing just enhance it.

when you downloaded
jre-1_5_0_01-linux-i586-rpm.bin
file
put it under
dir /usr/java
then
chmod 777 jre-1_5_0_01-linux-i586-rpm.bin
then
run it
./jre-1_5_0_01-linux-i586-rpm.bin
______________________________
then it will prompt
you just type yes and press enter
____________________________________
then it will be installed
and one more dir will be created under /usr/java
jre1.5.0_01
___________________________________
now
just set path
#export PATH=/usr/java/jre1.5.0_01/bin:$PATH

now installing plugins for mozilla
go to /home/username/.mozilla
mkdir plugins
chmod 777 plugins
then link the file libjavaplugin.oji.so
then
just click setting in toolbar
a drop down menu will appear
then click configure konqueror
then in left side pane select
java & java scripts
in right side
just check box enable java globally
and down
in path to java execcutable just show the path
/usr/java/jre1.5.0_01/bin/
