Long time linux user - looking for a community
Hello, I'd like to introduce myself to the forum. I've been reading this forum for years but I never felt a need to join for some reason. Nowadays I feel the need to become an active part of the Linux community and I think this is a great place to start.
As the title says I am a long time Linux user; I will spare you the dirty details, but I started using Linux in 1996 I think. I began my *NIX journey using FreeBSD and somehow migrated to Linux since it had so much more to offer in my opinion. I came to *NIX as I became enamoured with networking in the early '90's, and was frustrated at the high cost and complexities that I saw in the DOS/Windows world. I probably should be an expert by now but I am definitely not, however I am quite knowledgeable with a ton of experience. I am certified as well.
I hope to make some friends here and I hope I can contribute something useful someday.
