Linux noob saying hello.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I go by jripper15 because I like to find out how to open/access/overcome any barriers/obstacles that stop me from finding information I am looking for. The 15 just represents the year of my membership.

One of my passions is to understand network security and find out exactly how 'identity theft' happens and how to stop it from happening in the future.

I am brand new to the Linux world and I feel like I am in way over my head, but I know with practice I can transition from a Linux noob to a Linux user.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Take a look at the Linux Tutorials page, you should be able to find some helpful information there about Linux in general. Also, as you might have noticed, there is also a specific Security forum, in case you might have any questions in this particular area.

Regards...
