Lamp on linuxmint

Hi all

I'm Len Middleton 82yrs old, I volunteer at a Community Centre for pensioners, and want to find out about Linux/Lamp and what can be done with it, IE: can people log into the computer which has Lamp installed, and I see no errors on installation I found I could not log into myadmin, until I realised I was only root and not me as a user, hope this makes some sense to users of this forum.

Just as a suggestion, you might want to remove your email address, lest your inbox ends up with a boatload of SPAM in the very near future.

Installing LAMP does not change how your computer runs. It is just 3 extra programs that are running in the background.
