Introduction apt-shawn

Hello everyone,

I read the rules to this forum, but couldn't figure out where to post my introduction. The notice I get when logging in tells me visit "LQ Member Intro" forum to introduce myself, but alas that was a broken link!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I'm currently a Windows administrator, but a long time fan of linux. I started with Red Hat linux in 1999 and moved to Fedora whenever that came out. After a little bit of "get your feet wet" linux I moved on to Gentoo. I spent a bit of time on Gentoo until I needed easier/faster installs so I headed back to Fedora. Currently I'm using Debian for server installs and Mint for desktop installs.

I use linux mostly for web development with the LAMP project being my main interest. I'm starting to move more towards putting together an entire Windows environment replacement as I grow my knowledge.

I look forward to contributing anything I can to the community and looking even more forward to absorbing some more advanced knowledge.

Thanks!

Shawn

I found the forum I was originally trying to post this to...however the link doesn't work who do I mention that to?

Welcome to LQ. I've moved your thread to the intro section. Could you post a bug report on this please, it's a slightly better way than messaging Jeremy and helps him keep track of the breakages.

Thanks
