Introducing myself

Hello, I just got registered. Im looking forward to learning Linux. My main interest is sound recording. I have a full hybrid recording studio in my house, Protools and all the rest. I have a home network set up on a cable modem/router with 2 printers, 7 PCs, and 3 MACs. I build and repair computers for family and friends mostly. I recently bought 2 proliant dl580 quad zeon servers and loaded Ubuntu on one of them.
I want to learn about networking, vitual machines, virtual instruments(have some),etc. I work on fighter aircraft similators for Boeing but would like to take on new ventures. I cant afford Microsoft right now so I looks like I will have to learn hard and fast. Also I have a 12 drive scsi bay and (dont laugh), an xp1024 146TB enterprise SAN in my garage. I bought the SAN to part out and I know very little about it. But any way
lets study some LINUX and thanks for everything in advance. And please dont assumme I that I know a lot, Im green on eveything I mentioned above.

Welcome to Linux Questions.
I'm just wondering how much your cooling bill would go up by, if the SAN was in the house. I remember one poster who built a quad opteron with a large array of rapter drives. He didn't need to heat his apartment in the winter!
