Introducing myself

I have been trying for three hours now to install one program. After joining this site and taking half an hour to write a great big long post detailing my problems I go to preview it and when the page loads it says that I'm not logged in, apparently this forum kicks you after a brief amount of time, I'll have to check what settings are available for customization. I write the post, again, and go to preview it and when the page loads it says I can't post links until I make my first post... I feel like taking a hammer and beating my head in. I'm a complete noob to Linux, and it seems like the harder I try to learn more about Linux all that I learn is that it is infuriating.

So yeah, howdy.

P.S. Here is the question that I came to this forum to post.

Howdy! Keep at it - nothing beats a try but a failure, and you might be surprised if you try. And more seriously, patience will go a long way. Just don't beat yourself up if things don't quite work out. Good luck.
