If what you are asking is what distro to use , i recommend you ubuntu , fedora , opensuse or linux mint . i use ubuntu on my laptop . it works well for me ...

Welcome to LQ.

I started with Linux five years ago.

I no longer look back (the jumping off point was when I put it on my laptop after a messing with it on a desktop for a couple of years).

This place helped me get to that point.
