Hi... Ubuntu newbie here.

Hello,

Just joined LQ.org today. I currently use Ubuntu Warty Warthog at home on an PII computer. I just received the new 6.06 "Dapper Drake" version, but my computer needs more memory before I can install it. I was surprised how easy it installed, and how trouble-free its use has been so far!

I am not entirely new to Linux, having previously used Yellow Dog and an early version of SuSE, but I never really got into the guts of Linux. I'm hoping to eventually use Linux more than Windows at home (althought I still need Windows for work). Right now, my usage is about 60/40 in favor in Windows.

I am looking forward to moving to Dapper Drake. Hopefully I will install it this coming weekend, just as soon as I upgrade my computer's memory.

Right now, I don't have any particular questions to ask. I am looking forward to doing lots of reading and learning here in the near future.

Jackie
