Hi! Returning to LQ

Hi everyone

I'm just returning to LQ after a considerable break. I used to be on this site many years ago as I was also a heavy Linux user.

However life / work / time took over. I moved away from Windows nearly 5 years ago now when I bought an iMac. I still use Windows at work however. In that time I have kept loading up various installations of Linux distros as I like to see how far Linux has developed. I love how good so many of the distros are these days.

My first venture into Linux was when I dual booted my Windows XP based PC with Mandrake 9... Yep that was a long time ago lol. Time was I always had a Linux dual boot, using Linux mostly.

Since then I have also used Mandriva, Red Hat, Fedora, SuSE, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Peppermint, DSL and a couple of others I can't think of right now.

I guess my knowledge these days is likely quite poor but I hope to be active in the community again.

Henry
