Smile Hi, my name is Chillar and I'm going to be a Linuxholic....

Hi everyone,

My name is Chillar and its been 12yrs, 4mnths and 73 days since I last used Linux. I'm sorry, but I'm just about to start again!

So, my story is - many things took my interest when I first arrived, computers being one of the top ones. Played with a Dragon 32, was completely wrong about the BBC Micro, had to deal with Windows when I was told I needed to have a job, found there was a better way with Linux for a short newbie time, fell into Apple for easiness and now after a long time with them.....I feel it's right to be a part of the open source sharing philosophy that is Linux. Importantly for me, to be able to do that, I need to learn more, so I'm using Slackware this time around.

So I'm here as a sponge...yes a time limited sponge due to this world, but a sponge none the less.

I will be asking for help on probably many occasions, but I will also be giving my experiences or the little knowledge I gain, as I go along.

Its quite a thing this community, that I have only seen from afar and I hope to help it only positively grow.

That's it....so I would signoff in a cool way, if I could...
So I'll just...

Welcome aboard, Chillar.

The BBC Micro - still gives me a warm feeling when I hear it mentioned...

Hi chillar and welcome to LQ!

The Dragon 32 boards were OK in their time. I built the Heath Kit computer and messed around with a C64.
