Hi everyone,
My name is Chillar and its been 12yrs, 4mnths and 73 days since I last used Linux. I'm sorry, but I'm just about to start again!
So, my story is - many things took my interest when I first arrived, computers being one of the top ones. Played with a Dragon 32, was completely wrong about the BBC Micro, had to deal with Windows when I was told I needed to have a job, found there was a better way with Linux for a short newbie time, fell into Apple for easiness and now after a long time with them.....I feel it's right to be a part of the open source sharing philosophy that is Linux. Importantly for me, to be able to do that, I need to learn more, so I'm using Slackware this time around.
So I'm here as a sponge...yes a time limited sponge due to this world, but a sponge none the less.
I will be asking for help on probably many occasions, but I will also be giving my experiences or the little knowledge I gain, as I go along.
Its quite a thing this community, that I have only seen from afar and I hope to help it only positively grow.
