medes24 here. Long time Linux user, although not necessarily long time well-versed Linux user!
I got my start on Ubuntu back in the Fiesty Fawn days (go figure, I was looking for an OS better than Vista!). Used Linux Mint for several years before settling on good old Debian. I've given Fedora a spin as well but Debian has long had my heart for ensuring that my work computer would have reliable tools for me to get things done.
Lately, I was recommended to pick up a raspberry pi zero for a project I needed to complete at work and it got me back into Linux in a big way. I ended up buying a Zero 2 for myself and later on an old ThinkPad that I could tear apart as I dug into a lot of aspects of Linux that I had ignored before. I've got my eye on both Slackware and Gentoo as my next two projects so I can really do a deep dive into command line and how to set things up on my systems.
