First Though

Just because I am not a believer in your religion does not make me a bad person. Why is it so important to people to be monotheistic? I believe in a universal God that is part of every single atom in the entire universe. It excludes nothing. Why is it so important to human-ise God into the figure of a human Jesus as his son? And where's black Jesus for blacks or Native American Jesus for them etc. I get it that the lessons in the bible are a good thing. But I will not sit and worship the figure of a white man with a beard and humanize God into passed down interpretational confusion. I'll honor the universal God who is everything and nothing and constantly evolving into more sophisticated beings. I refuse to partake in reading a book about a mono-theistic hell when I don't even believe in mono-theism. Besides, came here to learn more about Linux and honor God by evolving into a better being.

Hi...

Thank you for your honest response. Let me address some of the things you wrote...

We're all sinners, though. We do bad things that are contrary to what God originally had commanded. Really, this starts at the beginning of our lives. A specific sin make look different or better than other sins according to the world (or society's) eyes but it's the same to God. For example, society is apt to take a less harsh view towards a teenager stealing a pack of gum at a store than a 40 year old man brutally murdering an 90 year old woman for the $100.00 in her purse. However, both are sins that will eventually lead to spiritual death (hell) if not forgiven by God by receiving Jesus Christ.

How is God exclusive? Who created atoms, the universe and life as we know it?

Because that's exactly what Jesus did. He, who always Was, became human so He could take upon Himself all of mankind's sins and give His life for ours on the Cross. That's why it's important and unlike any other act in history. Each of us deserve death for our sins throughout life but Jesus died, so that, by receiving Him, we could be forgiven and, instead, receive eternal life in heaven with Him.

Jesus is for everyone and it's God who created the different races and languages. Actually, Jesus came (was born) as a Jew in Israel, as He originally came for the Jews first, so he probably didn't have the same skin color as many white, Caucasian Americans.

That's good (and true.)

God is in complete control of His Word and overall, it's very much intact and has great power. The Bible is often referred to as the "Living Word" because He uses it to change the lives of those who listen and receive Him.

Can your god(s) change lives for the better? Can he/they heal the sick and raise the dead? Mine does, and He's still doing it today!

God does give you the choice to receive Him or not, He didn't create robots and He wants people to receive Him of their own free will. But I would encourage you to think very carefully about this choice because no other one can not only greatly impact your life here now but will also determine your eternal destiny.

We don't evolve into better human beings. Those who receive and follow (obey) Christ are continually changed (by His work in us) to help us become more like Him and Who He is.

There is something I would like to add here, along those lines. Please take a look at my testimony, or story, if you haven't already. Some of what I've written above is also from personal experience. I've lived it and have been for the last 12 years! I've seen who Jesus is and what He can do in someone's life if they give Him a chance! That's because I don't worship a dead man or dead ideas. I worship the one true God Who was resurrected and is very much alive in me and has given me new life! Praise be to Him for that!

Regards...

Ardvark71, I only refuse to partake in monotheistic readings or stories and I do not need to worship Jesus to give to the poor. I can just give to the poor. I don't have to join a church to donate my time, I can just donate my time. I don't have to read the bible to know what it takes to be a good person, I already know what it takes and I can just be a good person. There is no point in limiting myself to Jesus when I know God already...sat next to the dude in history class in high school...

Rtmistler, thank you. Glad to be here! As you were.

Impeccability of the "word" will lead one to truth, and often times it won't be the truth one is expecting.
