Hello everyone, I am not really new to Linux, and I believe I used to have a username here but the email is long gone. I began using Linux back in 2006-2007, and have been using it and FreeBSD for many years since. I have also used the old
openSolaris, which is now defunct, and I have been using it until now as a dual boot, due to college needing visual studio. Linux and UNIX, in particular Slackware, and FreeBSD are the only systems, besides either Vista on Windows, or 7 I haven't had problems with. I would throw in fedora , or Debian as well, as they have worked exceptionally well for me, and so has Gentoo. I am not trying to brag, by saying I successfully installed Gentoo, but that isn't an easy feat, unless you are skilled with CLI. Jumping into Gentoo and Arch were my way I learned CLI. I used Slackware for my first Linux adventure in 2006 or 2007, in dual boot with Ubuntu 10.04. I predominantly used slack and loved every minute of it. It was so much different than Windows. And it began my fascination and now study of computers and computer repair and freelance software coding career.
. Looking forward to this community
