Getting started late in life

Hi I'm Geo! Posting this message to introduce myself to the forum. I have an old Acer Aspire 3000 laptop and hope to install Chromixium on it for my friend's son & daughter. Hopefully I'll find some answers here.

Thanks NGIB & Hi,

Was on another forum and seems there are major issues with the Broadcom WiFi as hardly any Linux distro supports it w/o issues.
But I may post a few questions here to get more feedback of users who mite have had success with any Linux install.
