Can't post

I made my first post in the HW section, but it does not appear?

Does the first post require mod approval?

Anyway, greetings, I'm just a geek, geeking out on hardware control and open source things of all kinds. I can sometimes be knowledgable, but often fail to understand simple directions, even when I read them.

Hi DarthnVader and welcome to LQ!

Yes many times a first post is best either done in this member introductions forum, or it may require moderation approval. Since the site is 24 hours, but people live where they live, you may have started your first post in a technical forum and also many time zones away from the moderator(s) who needed to review your post. Best recommendation is to allow at least 24 hours, if not a bit more over weekends and holidays for review and approval.

Your second attempt with your technical question was closed, because it was redundant. The double post is not a problem, we realize you're just getting started. Future posts should not require moderator approval.

Best Regards.
