Beginner Linux(Ubuntu) User

Hello,

I have been tinkering with computers for 10 years, but got introduced to Lİnux, particularly Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, during a computational physics class I took in my undergraduate education. My aim is to learn the basic of Linux and programming in general and I think this forum is one of the best places to do so. By the way, I am a senior physics student from Turkey.

Welcome!

I am sure you will learn a lot here

Ubuntu is a good start as it has a Live option where you can try it before installing.

You will find a wealth of resources at The Linux Documentation Project.
