Wireless and wired switched!

Hello guys/girls!
i'm having wireless truble!
out of the box the intel wireless 2200bg was working fine on eth0(and wired ethernet card on eth1)
but i did something which i cantttttttttt remember what. and now the they switched .. the ethernet is on eth0 and the wireless should be on eth1 but in os center the option to start it is grayed!
iwconfig eth1 gives me nothing

kudzu -p outputs:
device: eth
driver: unknown
desc: "Unknown vendor|unknown device 8086:4220"
i reinstalled the driver ipw2200
using synaptic..but nothing.. the option to start the eth1 is still grayed.
any ideas?
thnx!

Have you tried "modprobe ipw2200" to reload the driver into kernelspace?

Odd. What distro are you on? If it's just the -source package, you'll probably need to build that individually.

i'm on mepis..
btw if it helps 'lspci' gives me
Network controller: Intel Corp. PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05)
Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82801BD PRO/100 VE (MOB) Ethernet Controller (rev 81)
what do you mean by 'you'll probably need to build that individually'?
and btw whenever i try to install the windows inf driver with ndiswrapper it installes but
when i 'ndiswrapper -l' i see w29n51 invalid driver!
the comman i issue is 'ndiswrapper -i /etc/ndiswrapper/w29n51.inf'
