What WLAN cards DO work with RH 9 on a laptop?

(typical, "Hi, I'm new to Linux." message. )

Nearly all that I have read here has to do with cards that are troublesome, at best.

Does anyone have any success stories about cards running on a laptop with Red Hat 9? If so, what card did you use?

There are several choices in the HCL: http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/index.php
If you don't need anything newer than 802.11b, Prism3 or original ORiNOCO cards are the least painful. My personal favorite because of range, power and price is ZyXEL's ZyAIR B-100. I think Bromax was the OEM supplier. Linksys sold the same card and they labeled it the WPC11 v3. (The v4 is a very different beast as you might have seen in the long-running thread).
