Unhappy WEP crashed machine

Hi

I am a Linux newbe but will try and describe

Install and configed Ubunto (Gusty Gibbon). O/S runs fine however my issue is with a wireless card.

Ubunto has installed drivers (Realtel 8180l) and it can connect fine. Every time though that I turn the WEP back on at the router the machine justs hangs and needs re-booting. So network connection works fine on noth WAN and Wi-Fi but its the wep the causes the issue.

Tried to install and run NDISwrapper but it will not regonise the drivers.

Any ideas???

If you're able to connect using wireless without WEP, you can definitely connect with WEP. You just need to get your WEP key entered correctly. You can use (from command line as root):
Code:
iwconfig <interface> key <your_key>
I don't know what your interface is but you should.
