Verizon FIOS and my Netgear MA401

I have a Netgear MA401 card that can not connect to an Actiontec
wireless router that came with an upgrade to Verizon FIOS
service. Previously the card was in the same laptop and connecting to a
Netgear router. Other laptops running windows connect to the new router
using the same settings that I had setup before FIOS. And the MA401 card
connects when my laptop is booted to windows.

So, it appears to be a combination of the MA401, linux and the Actiontec
router. I've tried turning off WEP and a bunch of other things, but the
card still does not connect. I'm running pclinuxOs version 0.93, but
I've tried a couple of live CD's also. So far, I have not been able to
connect with any distro.

iwconfig shows:
the correct ESSID
Access Point: Not-Associated
Security mode:restricted
The correct encryption key
Frequency: 2.462GHz
Bit Rate:2 Mb/s Tx-Power 2346 dBm
Link Quality=0/92
And some other info

/etc/resolv.conf has:
search home
nameserver 192.168.1.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Steve

It's working

I lied ... just a little

I had noticed that the ESSID was wrong, and had an idea, so I changed it in the router. The ESSID was something like MyNetworkHome and the ESSID that iwconfig was reporting was MyNetworkHOme. One letter had the wrong case. So hmmmm, DOS is case insensitive, but linux is case sensitive. Maybe the router is reporting the wrong SSID and windows doesn't care but linux does. So, I changed it to all lowercase and iwconfig was reporting it correctly. But pclinuxOS still didn't work. Maybe it has something lingering around.

I just put in Mint Linux live CD and configured it for all lower case and it connected. Mint Linux didn't work before. So, I think I am all set now. I have not tried a windows computer yet to see if it still works after I changed the router's SSID to all lowercase. I'll find that out in a few days.
