Ubuntu WEP with Linksys WMP11?

Getting the WMP11 to work cost me more than a few pairs of paracetamols. But it's up and running with ndiswrapper and all that.

My only problem now is the WEP. I realise linux and WEP is quite a trivial question, but haven't been able to find anyone whos ever managed to get WEP to work on a Ad-Hoc network with the WMP11.

Does anyone know what's up with that card? (Or, alternatively, what's up with my skills?)

Tried setting the /etc/network/interfaces file. Multiple ways and times. Didn't work.
Tried setting the wlan0 with iwconfig. Multiple ways and times. Didn't work.

Does anybody have a recipe for getting this thing to actually connect?

TIA!

I am having the same problem with the same card. Does it work when WEP is disabled? It does for me.
