Setting up embedded wireless on Toshiba Laptop in Suse 8.2

Hey all,
I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite A10 that has built in wireless networking. After installing Suse 8.2, I decided that I wanted to try and configure the wireless internet, but to no avail.

The wireless card is a Toshiba Wireless LAN mini PCI Card. It would have to try to connect through a Linksys 802.11 B Router, model #BEFW11S4.

I've figured out that I'll probably have to use the orinoco module because it is a PCI card, but that's about as far as I've gotten.

I've never configured anything outside of YAST2 before, so I'm really dumb when it comes to that, but I am capable of it. With the wireless, YAST2 doesn't even really help out much.

If someone who has done something similar or just knows how to do this, I would definitly appreciate some help.

Thanks!

If you basic problem is getting wireless to work. I would recommend the following 2 alternate procedures.

PROCEDURE-1
==========
edit your file /etc/modules.conf
add the following line :

alias eth0 ornico_pci

Now I understand that you do not have Ocrnico wireless card, however this driver which comes inbuilt(in mandrake 9.2 atleast) is known to work with most of the wireless cards. It worked on my HP Pavillion ze5385 running Mandrake 9.2. Give it a shot and let me know if it worked.

PROCEDURE-2
==========
If you have windows drivers working fine for your WLAN card, you can make them work on Linux too. There is a wrapper available which makes Windows drivers work in Linux. This can be downloaded from http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/
This needs atleast kernel(2.4.25 or 2.6.4)
