My wireless acts like it's wired? hmm.
Every person I know who's tried wireless in linux has failed until now. But, not quite.
My wireless looked and acted like wireless in fedora core 2. I tried it there first because I could find a 16k stack kernel rpm for 2.6+. Then once I figured out how to get it working I went back to my baby, gentoo. But for some reason my card acts like it's wired. What do I mean?
iwconfig tells me it's not wireless
dhcpcd (aka dhclient) works on it, as does the internet and everything
no wireless connection monitors work.
Anyone have ANY ida on this? Like I said, I don't know anyone else who's gotten wireless working, so I'm not expecting to be swamped with replies, but I sure would like to monitor my connection.

Edit: Ok, didn't notice that there was a special wireless section. I can't move this, and I don't want to do duplicate posts. Bugger. Next time around, I suppose.
