Hello people ,

I have a little problem with my vpn connection.
I use mandrake community 10 and i want to connect to my university which has a win 2000/2003 server.
I know the ip of the university , let,s say 10.100.0.0
How can i connect to it?

I have tried pptp-php-gtp but it says :" MPPE required ,but no kernel support" . I tried to fix this by installing differend versions of ppp , pptp , pp-mppe but nothing worked.

I also tried drakvpn but I can't understand how to use it.
It is very complex.Where exactly do I put the ip of the uni and where my username and password?

Hi there, why not give vpnc a try too. It seems easy to configure, only need to download the tun/tap driver (already there on debian). After that it will only need a few things (like user name etc, probably 2 which you're going to have to aske them). Not that I'm an expert, but it seems the most easy to use.

ps: it's already installed on the knoppix cd. Use vpnc to connect (or vpnc-connect when you have made a vpnc.conf file).
