Linksys WPC11 v3 driver problems

Okay I've got a Linksys WPC11 v3 it has a prism2 chipset. Now what i'm trying to do is install the wlanng drivers for this card. The card works fine with the default drivers that installed by Fedora Core 4, but they are the orinoco_cs drivers. I do believe that installed the wlanng drivers correctly i did the make config and etc. I guess the question is how do i make the card use the wlanng drivers.

What is it that you hope to achieve with the wlan_ng driver that you can't do with the orinoco_cs? You won't get any more speed or features. I'd leave well enough alone.

Well actually it does allow me to properly use my card. the orinoco_cs won't allow me to switch modes. I need the right drivers installed so that I can use kismet. I just need to know how switch which driver i want to use.

Depending on the kernel you're using, you can apply patches to use monitor mode. I'm using patched 0.13e orinoco_cs on a 2.4.29 kernel with Kismet and a rebadged version of the WPC11 v3.

Hey thanks for the link. I must say I learned something new. I thought the patch was actually for orinoco based cards. Well it is a little to late now i got the wlanng drivers to work after a little of work. I found that in the source someone placed an "h" in front of a comment. So it was erroring out because of that.
