Running Mint 17.3 on Lenovo T460s
My intel wlan card does show up in lsusb, lspci, and inxi -Fxz - the card is listed

There is no option for wireless connections on the desktop. WLAN is not an option under network connections.

ip link does not show wlan adapter

I did install ubuntu 16.04 and WLAN was working fine

I put ucode from iwlwifi-8000-ucode-25.30.13.0 in /lib/firmware

I also tried putting version 0.18.0 in /lib/firmware.

lspci -nnk | grep 0280 -A2

So the ubuntu install told me that my card is working properly. But Mint is having a hard time recognizing, installing or enabling it.

Can someone give me a hand I am stuck.

Upgraded to kernel 4.5 - fixed the issue
